Our Idaho Raised, Pasture Grazed Beef

All of our cattle are pasture grazed year-round on our 550 acre ranch. During spring and summer months the cattle are rotated to fresh pasture every day in our intensive grazing program. During the winter months our cattle continue to eat grass and alfalfa hay. Our steers are born out of our herd of mother cows here on the ranch.

After calving season in the spring and fall, we take the best of the bunch and incorporate them into our Bar Snake Beef program. After weaning, the steers form a new herd of their own where they are rotationally grazed to maximize their grass intake. After about 16-18 months each steer will enter into their finish phase. Each steer is finished with high quality locally sourced grain along with continual free choice hay.

Generally the finishing process will take around 120 days. Our cattle are primarily black and red Angus with a mix of some Hereford that produces incredible tender and flavorful beef. We also have a handful of Long Horns pets on our ranch, but they are never used in our beef program.
